Are you an experienced healthcare professional or first aider ready to lead frontline humanitarian work? FAST is looking for a long-term volunteer field coordinator to run our daily first aid service for people on the move in Calais — starting end October/beginning of November, for a minimum of three months. (We can be flexible with dates, and if you’re interested in the role at a later moment, please also reach out!)
The role
You lead our fieldwork with autonomy, within FAST’s guidelines: running daily mobile clinics, briefing and supporting volunteers, managing supplies and logistics, and liaising with partner NGOs. You stay in regular contact with the FAST board and our network of experienced ex-field coordinators — you never face challenges alone.
What you bring
Extensive first aid experience, particularly wound care. A professional, kind and thorough approach to patient care. Resilience and adaptability in a challenging environment. Strong planning, communication and leadership skills, and a high level of integrity. Fluency in English (French is a plus) and a clean driving licence — you’ll be comfortable driving a left-hand drive vehicle.
