What we collect and why
Donations — When you donate, we process your name and payment details. Sharing your email address is optional. Payments are handled by Mollie, our payment provider; we never see or store your full bank or card details. We keep donation records for 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
Shop orders — When you order from our merch shop, we process your name, address, email and order details to deliver your order and handle any returns. We keep these records for 7 years (tax law).
Newsletter — If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address only to send it. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address from our mailing list.
Volunteer applications — When you apply to volunteer, we process your name, contact details, CV, references and professional qualifications through our recruitment platform. If your application does not go forward, we delete your data within 3 months. If you volunteer with FAST, we keep your data for as long as you’re part of our volunteer network — many of our former volunteers stay involved as advisors and bank coordinators. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Email contact — When you email us, we keep your message as long as needed to help you.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell or share your data for marketing. We don’t use tracking cookies or advertising pixels. Our website only uses functional cookies needed to make things like the shopping cart work.
Who we work with
Your data may be processed by the services we use to run FAST: Mollie (payments), our website host, and our volunteer recruitment platform. We share data with others only when the law requires it.
Photography
We photograph our work to show the reality at the border. We do this with care: we ask consent, avoid identifying people in vulnerable situations wherever possible, and always put dignity before publicity.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to how we use it. Email info@f-a-s-t.eu and we’ll respond within a month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
